The Islamic New Year is more of a time of worship.

A new day, a new month, or the beginning of anything new brings hope. We expect a little change, so we plan resolutions. The time when we forget our sadness is the initialization. The restart button should be pushed. There is no one who knows what will happen in the new year.

There is a connection to all that we said above. It brings hope, but it also saddens our soul. The origin left us lessons to learn.

Whether it is Islamic New Year in London or not, we have concluded this document to show history and genuineness.

What is Islamic New Year?

Just like Gregorian New Year, Islamic New Year is the beginning of lunar Hijri year. The first month is Muharram. Eleven other months follow the 1st one. It has other titles as well. For instance, Arabic New Year and some call it Hijri New Year.

“In Islamic history, the first month is sacred. Depending on the cycle, it has between 29 and 30 days. The entire year of Islam is dependent on the moon’s position around the Earth.”

Muslims have been celebrating for over 1400 years. In August of 2021, the new Islamic year will begin. The concept of spending it is different than other cultures. fireworks and open announcements are not present.

Muslims do not host indoor parties. The vision is almost the same whether you are in London or elsewhere. This shows the respect of Muslims around the world.

The Islamic calendar goes back to 622CE. It was the time when the ruler of the world was born. The start of the Islamic year coincides with the date of the migration of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

The date of birth of Holy Prophet Muhammad was the subject of prior suggestions.

When is Islamic New Year?

Islamic New Year begins at the end of the month Dhul Hijjah. Islamic New Year 2022 can hardly align with the start of the Gregorian year. This is because of the lunar lifecycle. Every year there is a change of almost 10 days.

Compared to the Gregorian calendar, the short lunar cycle decreases by 10 days each year. It is possible that the 1st of January will be the same date as the 1st of Muharram in the future.

Some Muslims have observed the 1st of Muharram on different seasons. The individuals born in the 90s have observed the holy month in winters. Muslims were fasting in May during the heat in the Gregorian year.

The South Asian region will see the start of the Islamic New Year on August 9th. The region will observe Islamic New Year on the 29th of July in 2022.

When is Islamic New Year 2021 in UK?

“The 9th of August is when the Islamic New Year is expected in the UK. Depending on the moon’s appearance, the dates might be different. The Islamic New Year in the UK is expected to be on the 29th of July.”

There is a slight difference in the hours between the UK and the South Asian countries. If we look at the time of London, the number is four.

“If the time in Pakistan is 9 pm, it’s 5 pm in the UK. It’s helpful to know the difference in Islamic dates, but you should focus on the moon.”

There is a thin crescent moon in the sky on the eve of the Islamic New Year.

How Muslims celebrate Islamic New Year?

“The word, celebration, is a bit controversial for Islamic New Year 2021, or any other year. It is more like a memory. Muslims around the globe don’t usually conduct ceremonies or décor their house on this day.”

No one sings or greets everybody else like on Eid. There are a couple of reasons for it. Firstly, it is not an Islamic celebrative occasion. This means, according to the religious teachings, it is not an Eid.

The expression of happiness is usually displayed on two Eids. It has a sad history. The first month saw a lot of depressing Islamic incidents. Muslims just recall history because of that.

Whether they are religious or not, individuals try to connect with the Holy Quran. The beginning of the Islamic New Year in the UK is similar to the beginning of the Holy Quran.

“Many begin to read Islamic history books to find out what happened in this month. The Muslim kids do the same thing. They visit mosques after following their elders’ footsteps. The history of Muharram is filled with suffering and lesson oriented.”

Muslims read to improve their faith. The Holy month is a time when others pay homage. Nafl prayers are symbols of worship and gratitude and Muslims prefer to perform them.

Tips to Spend Islamic New Year 2022 in UK

  • “You can learn from the past. We’ve read the heirloom many times. The best way to follow what he did is by following what he did. The Muslims’ noble leader did not give up. laihissalam did not fear death. laihissalam and his companions were dedicated towards the right path. Islam has been guarded by His actions because of his life being at risk. Become like Him. For the sake of your family, be fearless. This doesn’t mean you should be rude. In a kind way, just be persistent.”
  • “On this occasion, be extra caring to others. Many Shia will remember past events on Islamic New Year. They’ll be sad by this. Try to please with motivational speeches. • “If you ever get the chance to become a politician, follow the rules. Don’t become barbaric. Don’t let the possibilities ruin the lives of the innocents. It’s important to make sure to pass on traditions to the younger generation.”

“It’s not like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like it’s like”

How United Kingdom Muslims community celebrate Islamic New Year?

Islamic New Year is not celebrated as much in the United Kingdom. It is similar to other countries in that it is quiet and relies on remembrance. The UK does not have a public holiday on this occasion.

“Although there are millions of Muslims, they all take a day off or don’t spend much time at work. The working hours of many Muslim business owners in London and other UK cities are reduced. The educational institutions do not support holidays.”

“If the Muslim student wants to take a day off, it’s up to them. The first day of the Islamic New Year in the UK is not well known to the public. Muslims try to revive their spiritual regime at home.”

The Muslims have good knowledge of its worth. The Shia community is mourning in this month. They remember the beloved Grandson of Holy Prophet Muhammad, Hazrat Hussayn ibn Ali.

Shias weep and wear black during the month of Muharram.

Shias are facing the same hurdles as the rest of the world because of COVID 19. The leaders of Shia Centers in England were mentioned in a Tehran Times article.

Shias were advised to keep the tradition alive by the representatives of Ayatollah. It is important to pass on the Ashura culture to the modern generation, they said. The community is growing because of the personality of Hazrat Hussayn.

It was ordered to keep a distance from the public. The indoor gatherings of more than 30 people are not allowed.

When is 9th and 10th Muharram in London 2021?

The dates are the 17th and 18th of August in 2021. On the 7th and 8th of August, the 9th and 10th of Muharram will take place in London. The 8th of August is when Ashura Day in London will be.

“There is a 10 day gap from the year 2021. The expected dates are the same all around the world. The time of Ashura Day in London can be changed by the moon’s appearance on the first of Muharram.”

The consideration of Ashura Day in London is dependent upon the moon.

What is Ashura?

“Ashura means the tenth. Ashura is linked to the day so it’s Ashura Day. The tenth day is what it means. There is a huge significance to the tenth of Muharram in the United Kingdom.”

It is the day when the martyr, Hazrat Hussayn, died in the Karbala Battle.

It was the responsibility of the Grandson of the Islamic Prophet to keep reviving the religion. laihissalam was the one who stood up for what he believed to be right. The caliph of the Umayyad Caliphate was Yazid.

The Gregorian calendar shows that he ruled from 680 to 683. His nomination was opposed by many people in the Muslim community. Hazrat Hussayn was one of them. There was a policy of killing the one who was against him.

The Holy Grandson knew his life was in danger but he decided to support his tribe. laihissalam did not support the tyrants and lost the choice of luxury life

“laihissalam started traveling to Mecca, thinking that he wouldn’t get to follow in the footsteps of his father. The thoughts went awry. His (Alaihissalam) way was blocked by the brutal Yazid. 30000 soldiers were surrounding Him and his companions.”

He continued to fight. Yazid gave the final warning and limited their access to water. It could either support the government or be killed. He stood by his principles and rejected to support Yazid.

His Martyr was along with his friends. The companions were very loyal throughout this time. The family, including His sister, were kept captive. The leadership role was taken by Hazrat Zainab who demonstrated what he had done.

The ruler died 3 years after the incident. The military strength and barbaric nature are powerless at the time of death.

The legacy of Hazrat Hussain will stay forever because nature took revenge against him.

What happened in Muharram?

The Shahadat of Hazrat Hussain (Alaihissalam) was only one part of the experience of the Muslim. There is a Sufi named Baba Farid who died a year ago. It is on the 5th of Muharram.

Pakistan natives consider it a sacred day, but anyone who shares the same spiritual similarity can value it. He died in the year 668 A. On the 7th of Muharram, water access to Hazrat Hussain was banned.

It was one of the most terrible events in history. Muhammad Sirajuddin Naqshbandi was born in 1297 AD. He was a leader of the Mughal Empire. He is the first descendant of someone who built the Taj Mahal.

The Indian Sufi, Ashraf Jahangir Semnani, was born in the year 811. The ruler of Semnan was him.

Muslims admire Sufis. They think that people who are loyal in faith and have an emotional religious journey are such people. The Sufis who died hundreds of years ago are still valued by Muslims. People visit the tomb to pay homage to the people who shared their stories.

Some of the above was shared by the UK Time.
