How United Kingdom Muslims community celebrate Islamic New Year?
Islamic New Year is not celebrated as much in the United Kingdom. It is similar to other countries in that it is quiet and relies on remembrance. The UK does not have a public holiday on this occasion.
“Although there are millions of Muslims, they all take a day off or don’t spend much time at work. The working hours of many Muslim business owners in London and other UK cities are reduced. The educational institutions do not support holidays.”

When is 9th and 10th Muharram in London 2021?
The dates are the 17th and 18th of August in 2021. On the 7th and 8th of August, the 9th and 10th of Muharram will take place in London. The 8th of August is when Ashura Day in London will be.

What is Ashura?

It was the responsibility of the Grandson of the Islamic Prophet to keep reviving the religion. laihissalam was the one who stood up for what he believed to be right. The caliph of the Umayyad Caliphate was Yazid.
The Gregorian calendar shows that he ruled from 680 to 683. His nomination was opposed by many people in the Muslim community. Hazrat Hussayn was one of them. There was a policy of killing the one who was against him.

He continued to fight. Yazid gave the final warning and limited their access to water. It could either support the government or be killed. He stood by his principles and rejected to support Yazid.
His Martyr was along with his friends. The companions were very loyal throughout this time. The family, including His sister, were kept captive. The leadership role was taken by Hazrat Zainab who demonstrated what he had done.
The ruler died 3 years after the incident. The military strength and barbaric nature are powerless at the time of death.
The legacy of Hazrat Hussain will stay forever because nature took revenge against him.
What happened in Muharram?
The Shahadat of Hazrat Hussain (Alaihissalam) was only one part of the experience of the Muslim. There is a Sufi named Baba Farid who died a year ago. It is on the 5th of Muharram.
Pakistan natives consider it a sacred day, but anyone who shares the same spiritual similarity can value it. He died in the year 668 A. On the 7th of Muharram, water access to Hazrat Hussain was banned.
It was one of the most terrible events in history. Muhammad Sirajuddin Naqshbandi was born in 1297 AD. He was a leader of the Mughal Empire. He is the first descendant of someone who built the Taj Mahal.
The Indian Sufi, Ashraf Jahangir Semnani, was born in the year 811. The ruler of Semnan was him.
Muslims admire Sufis. They think that people who are loyal in faith and have an emotional religious journey are such people. The Sufis who died hundreds of years ago are still valued by Muslims. People visit the tomb to pay homage to the people who shared their stories.
